Ultra-high performance fiber reinforced concrete

Ultra-high performance fibre reinforced concrete (UHPC) has compressive strength in excess of 150 N/mm². This allows for the production of very filigree, light and resource-friendly components.

Since 2014, WALO has had a UHPC paver from its own in-house development and production and has used it to incorporate UHPC as a static reinforcement into the world’s first bridge surface of more than 50,000 m2. The combination of highly qualified employees, the tailor-made mixing plant of Walo Bertschinger AG and outstanding material technology allows for more sustainable construction projects. Thanks to the expertise it has in the area of UHPC, projects can be implemented within a short period of time and with a high level of quality – both in Switzerland and abroad.
